TWO FOR TUESDAY

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world. For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously ferverent rants of rebellion. Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

Blue On Black
The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band
Night
Falls
And I’m alone
Oh
Skin
Chilled me to the bone
You
Turned and
You ran
Oh yeah
Oh slipped
Right from my hand

Hey
Blue on black
Tears on a river
Push on a shove
It don’t mean much
Joker on jack
Match on a fire
Cold on ice
A dead man’s touch
Whisper on a scream
Doesn’t change a thing
Don’t bring you back
Blue on black
Oh
Blue on black

Blind
Oh
Now I see
I see the truth
Lies
And in between
And wrong
Can’t be undone
No no no
Oh slipped
From the tip of your tongue

Hey
Blue on black
Tears on a river
Push on a shove
It don’t mean much
Joker on jack
Match on a fire
Cold on ice
A dead man’s touch
Whisper on a scream
Doesn’t change a thing
Don’t bring you back
Blue on black
Oh
Blue on black

Ooh yeah

Blue on black
Tears on a river
Push on a shove
It don’t mean much
Joker on jack
Match on a fire
Cold on ice
A dead man’s touch
Whisper on a scream
Doesn’t change a thing
Don’t bring you back
Blue on black
Oh
Blue on black

Hey
Blue on black
Tears on a river
Push on a shove
It don’t mean much
Joker on jack
Match on a fire
Cold on ice
A dead man’s touch
Whisper on a scream
Doesn’t change a thing
Don’t bring you back
Blue on black
Oh
Blue on black
Oh
Blue on black
Oh
Blue on black

***NOTE***
I’m sorry that I couldn’t find a video of the following song, but it still had to be included. Therefore, I uploaded my own copy, and I hope you will immediately understand why. By the way, if you have the equipment to do so, cranking up the volume until your ears start to bleed is most definitely justified in this case.

Was
The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band
It was a moonless night
It was an empty sky
It was a bad excuse
It was the only fool in sight
It was a crazy thought
A mad man’s walk
It was

It was a moonless night
It was an empty sky
It was a bad excuse
I was the only fool in sight
It was a crazy thought
A mad man’s walk
It was

I had a wanderin’ eye
She was a better time
One twisted heart
A black cat’s walkin’ by
She was a crazy thought
A mad man’s walk
She was

Oh Lord
She was

She was a long way home
Walkin’ broken bones
It wasn’t wrong or right
How deep that knife could go
It was a crazy thought
A mad man’s walk
It was
It was a crazy thought
A man man’s walk
It was
She was a hangman’s noose
I was the fool
I was

Oh I was

Yeah baby

I was

Ooh oh

Oh oh

  2. Oh my goodness - got to tell you the truth - the first one - my daughter knew, the second one she didn't.

    I can't say I liked either one!

    Sorry.

  4. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Sandie!!! Yeah, Blue On Black was a huge hit for them, and Was is not nearly as well known.
