TWO FOR TUESDAY {REDO}

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world. For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously ferverent rants of rebellion. Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

***WARNING***
Some may find the lyrics of the songs, and the imagery of the videos, quite disturbing. So, be prepared to close your eyes and ears at any moment, but please keep your heart and mind open.

Head Like A Hole - Nine Inch Nails

Head Like A Hole
Nine Inch Nails
Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve
Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve

God Money
I’ll do anything for you
God Money
Just tell me what you want me to
God Money
Now nail me up against the wall
God Money don’t want everything
He wants it all

No
You can’t take it
No
You can’t take it
No
You can’t take that away from me
No
You can’t take it
No
You can’t take it
No
You can’t take that away from me

Head like a hole
Black as your soul
I’d rather die
Than give you control
Head like a hole
Black as your soul
I’d rather die
Than give you control

Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve
Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve

God Money’s
Not looking for the cure
God Money’s
Not concerned about the sick among the pure
God Money
Let’s go dancing on the backs of the bruised
God Money’s
Not one to choose

No
You can’t take it
No
You can’t take it
No
You can’t take that away from me

Head like a hole
Black as your soul
I’d rather die
Than give you control
Head like a hole
Black as your soul
I’d rather die
Than give you control

Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve
Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve

Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve
Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve

Head like a hole
Black as your soul
I’d rather die
Than give you control
Head like a hole
Black as your soul
I’d rather die
Than give you control
Head like a hole
Black as your soul
I’d rather die
Than give you control
Head like a hole
Black as your soul
I’d rather die
Than give you control

Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve
Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve
Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve
Bow down
Before the one you serve
You’re going to get
What you deserve

Hurt - Nine Inch Nails

Hurt
Nine Inch Nails
I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that’s real

The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end

And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of sh**
Upon my liar’s chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair

Beneath the stains of time
The feeling disappears
You are someone else
I am still right here

What I have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end

And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

  1. I use to love Nine Inch Nails. My favorite something is Something I can never have! I think that's the name of it.

  2. Thanks for the warning. However, these are kind of cool songs. Thanks for posting. Anna :)

  3. I must admit that I got caught up in all of furor in the Christian community against Nine Inch Nails before I ever heard one of their songs. Be assured that I quickly learned that there is much about their music that is greatly misunderstood after I actually heard some of it, and I have come to greatly appreciate many of their songs. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Stacie!!!

  4. I suppose I should have included the warning on last weeks Aerosmith. For the videos were rather risque, and I got called on it. So, with imagery on the Hurt video being rather graphic, I wanted to play it safe for the benefit of those with more delicate sensibilities than others.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked the songs, my dear Anna. Thanks for stopping by!!!

  5. I love the song "Hurt" but I have to admit the first time I heard it was by Johnny Cash. I had a dear friend that I dedicated this song to and some months later she did the unpardonable and committed suicide. It is a very bittersweet song for me.

  6. Johnny Cash did a masterful job with his version of the song. For you could hear his personal experience with hurt in every word.

Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ettarose. I hope your friend will not be held accountable for her actions, come Judgment Day.
