A Sunday Drive

Back during my childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and I after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived. Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.

  1. I too remember Sunday drives from my childhood; except ours were on Sunday nights and not through the neighborhood. Our's were out to the country to cool off. Open all the windows in the car (I'm old enough this is when car windows could be rolled all the way down); and it was cooler out in the country then in the city. A drive always cooled everyone off before going to bed for the night.

  3. Thanks a lot, dear friend, for having visited my blog about ANDAMAN & NICOBAR THE HISTORIC INDIAN CORAL ISLANDS and also for having included the "Floating Paradise on Earth" in your blog's "A Sunday Drive" in the form of---

"RAJAN - THE SWIMMING ELEPHANT FROM THE HAVELOCK ISLAND".

Thanks indeed for helping my voice reach out to more and more people through your readers. That way, in fact, you are helping people know of one of the rarest habitats on earth...

    Do stay in touch... Cheers!!!
