A Sunday Drive

Back during my childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and I after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived. Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.

  1. I always loved going on Sunday drives. My dad used to drive us around on Sundays and we'd listen to the oldies station on the radio :)

  4. You're right. A Sunday Drive is a great title for a post such as this.

I don't recall ever going on Sunday Drives.

  7. I miss those days, as well. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Chilly!!! Hey, I just added your "Kool Kustoms" to the list for a future Sites To See, which means that it will eventually be included here in this series. That is, unless you don't stay with it. So, please don't let it fade away.

  8. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Shaunalynn!!! I'm sorry that you never got to go on a Sunday drive during your childhood, but there is no time like the present to start a tradition like that of your own. If going for a drive is impractical, maybe a hike in the woods (or just a walk around your town) might work better for you and your family?

  9. A very interesting collection of sites for this week's Sunday drive - thanks for sharing them. The weather finally cooperated this past Sunday and I was able to once again return to my Sunday drive - aka hiking. A three mile trek along an abandoned rail road track, now turned trail. Trains traveled through some of the most beautiful areas - kind wish these days of yesteryear were still around and that the trains that traveled these trails were still around.
