Trib Updates

This is a weekly series that will include a brief summary of the latest articles that have been published on The Tribulation Times Herald-Exhorter.  Hopefully, this will encourage you to go check out some truly outstanding articles that have been published by a number of truly outstanding authors.  Moreover, I hope this will also encourage you to want to become a contributing member/author, as well.  The “Hear Ye!  Hear Ye!” site explanation near the top of the side-bar should answer many of your questions.  Yes, this series also included an “SOS! (Spam On Saturdays)”  segment before, but it just wasn’t working for me.  Therefore, that will be replaced by a republishing of one of the Trib articles.

[Near Death Experience] is a very well written article from RN, which is extended in the comments section.

[Knowing God – J.I. Packer] has RN calling into attention to a great free offer at ChristianAudio.]

[More on NDEs, mediums, reincarnation, etc…] is from RN with a couple of audio files of Rev. John Pereira.]

[Vastly Entertaining] goes to prove that Lavender Darwin lives on through RN.

The first thing that I would like to make clear is that this is not meant as a condemnation of [Katy Perry’s] parents.  For it has been made all too painfully clear to me that parents can try to do everything they know to do to put their children on the right path, only to watch them head off in the opposite direction, which seems to happen a lot to [preacher’s kids].

Ah, but there is some debate on just how to do that—isn’t there?  Although, I don’t think that neither [RN], nor [Lavender Darwin], would disapprove of their efforts.  That is, unless it isn’t true that she wasn’t allowed to watch television, as reported in at least [this] article.

The following videos provide some more insights, as does [this] article.  I tried to procure the video of her dad preaching at [Church on the Rise], which is the one that helped to prompt this piece, but it was evidently taken down from the church’s site before I could.

Curiously, the video was there at first, and then it was not.  Furthermore, it seems to have been taken down from [other places], as well.

  1. I don't even know who she is or her parents for that matter. Maybe I should pop out of the bubble I live in once in a while :)

  2. I don't either, I've heard the name but am unaware there was controversy about her.

  4. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Country Mouse!!! Most of the controversy has just been in certain Christian circles. For she started out as a contemporary Christian singer, and then switched to mainstream pop, with her first big hit being "I Kissed A Girl." Alas, if the lyrics were not enough to send most of the hardshells into a full-blown tizzy, the video surely sealed the deal.

  6. You are most welcome, my dear Country Mouse! Now, if you need any help with anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. For I have been called a know-it-all most of my life, and I am quite sure that it is an accurate description.
