I
just added a [Dedication
to Arlynda] and a [Foreword]
to [Little
Lost Leon]. So, the link to download
a copy is now different.
A
very good friend in Australia suggested a cover change and even went to the
trouble of producing a new one, but I like the cover as is. Yeah, don’t I know how to treat people
right—or what?
I
recently discovered [Grammarly]. So, Little Lost Leon was subjected to its
scrutiny and found wanting.
Subsequently, several grammatical errors, typos and just plain misspelled
words have been changed. Did you know
that the proper word is ensure—not insure?
I do now!
Nope,
I ain’t gonna make no promises (take that Grammarly!) but Little Lost Leon is
now copastetic. Sigh,
Please

Don't believe everything Grammarly tells you. At least not without double-checking elsewhere. I know the spell-check and grammar-check in Word programs seem to be written by folks for whom English is a second language. They're wrong as much as they're right.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Gorges!!! Yes, I have already noticed such with Grammarly. It is also set up with Harvard punctuation rules, which calls for a comma that is not called for the other way. For example, the Harvard way you would have rifles, shotguns, and pistols. Whereas, the other way would have rifles, shotguns and pistols.
DeleteIt makes me want to blow my head off. Hence, the firearm reference. (LOL?)
something that checks for grammar errors, typos and misspelled words could be very handy. I often wonder how correct those things are though. There have been times when I've typed a word that I know is correct and a spellcheck will tell me it's wrong
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! Yes, I have had that happen to me several times, and I do not like it! Please sic Gibbs on them.
DeleteThink you are special and wish to let the globe learn about it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Anonymous!!! We are all special. For all of mankind was created to spend all of eternity with our Heavenly Father in His Kingdom of Heaven as an heir to all that is His in glory, and all who will but want to truly be one of His children by faith will be welcome to do so.
DeleteHallo Jerry, English being my second language I have always been very aware of grammar and spelling, and how this is disappearing with the new generation, the manner in which they speak and write, it's sad.... Thank you for the book you mailed, it's first on my next read list, I can't read more than 1 book at a time, it's feels 'unfaithful'? Have a happy Saturday, and lotsa love
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Shadow!!! I understand what you are saying, but if the more serious "Grammar Nazis" have their way, English literature will be too dry to enjoy.
DeleteBy the way, I sent you a Little Lost Leon without the revision talked about here. If you do not want to download another copy, you can read them online.
