40-something
years ago, I learned how to play Hearts and Spades. I do not
remember the specifics to the card games, and I did not want to spend
the time and energy searching for what is on the web about them.
What I do remember, however, is that they involved playing a card
that triumphed over the others played during a hand/round. Hence,
the shortened name of trump.
I
do not know if the last name of the current American president
originated from a card game, but I think it would be rather ironic.
For he seems very fond of playing games.
No,
President Trump is not the only one fond of playing games. For there
are trump cards being played by every special interest group.
A
lot has been heard recently about the black community playing their
race card whenever they meet some resistance to changing things in
their favor, but the brown, red and even white communities have their
own race cards. Only the Asian community in America seems fairly
content to suffer in relative silence while working really hard at
moving into position to live a much better life after the others have exhausted
all of their resources fighting each other.
No,
it is not just in the matters of race that there is a trump card.
American women have their gender equality card. The American LGBT
community has their gender identity card. American conservatives
play their Second Amendment, fiscal responsibility and Christian
nation cards while the American liberals/progressives counter with
their evolving constitution, women's rights and separation of church
and state cards. Ah, but do not they all get lost in the political
shuffle?
Take
for example the current political issue over professional football
(NFL) players refusing to stand during the playing of the National
Anthem before the start of a game. For just how many Americans still
remember that the protest started out with the San Francisco 49ers' quarterback at the time sitting on the sideline over alleged police
brutality of black people? Are not the vast majority of pundits now talking about it being a
matter of having the freedom to disrespect our traditional values or
not?
Quite
frankly, I do not have a problem with the players kneeling instead of
standing at attention. For kneeling has always been a sign of
deference to a higher power or surrender during a time of conflict.
Does the players now kneeling mean that they have surrendered their
position?
I
would have a problem with the players milling about on the sideline
during the playing of the National Anthem, but I recognize the fact
that Americans are supposed to have the freedom to do such ignoble
things. Nonetheless, just because you have the legal right to do
something does not mean that you should.
Alas,
I have I come to truly loathe just how much of “me” our Heavenly
Father has allowed to remain intact after He started truly changing
me. For I can clearly see that most of our fights over political
issues are simply setting the stage for the antichirst to take power
over this entire world someday much sooner than later, which is in
accordance unto our Heavenly Father's will, but these issues are
still upsetting to me. Does this mean that I do not really believe
that He knows what He is doing? Be assured that it most certainly
does not, but it bothers me even more that I still want to fix things
that the Lord God Almighty has broken to accomplish His purposes.

Thanks for stopping by, my dear Adullamite!!! Sounds in-tune to me.
ReplyDeleteIt's funn how there is always someone who is protesting something and everyone is up in arms about it. Then something tragic happens and people all come together to help and support one another. Once the dust settles it goes right back to protesting and people at each others throats. It's all just crazy
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! I am afraid President Trump will use this tendency to come together during a time of crisis to manufacture a war against North Korea or Iran (maybe both) to insure his reelection. He will wait until around six months before so that it will be far less likely for us to vote someone else into the office while we are at war. I do not think there is another way for him to stay in power, and he knows this better than anyone else.
DeleteYou are so right when you say that "there are trump cards being played by every special interest group." It's gotten rather monotonous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Silver Fox!!! Well, I think it gets rather entertaining when the trump cards are being flung at the opposing side like they are ninja throwing-stars. (LOL?)
DeleteHa! Good one, Jerry!
DeleteThanks for stopping by, my dear Silver Fox!!! I try, but in all seriousness, if evolution is indeed reality, we sure don't show a lot of potential for improvement as a race. For a close examination of our history shows great consistency.
DeleteWell I do wonder if the antichrist is coming. (lower case a)
ReplyDeleteI believe in Jesus and all the respect we can give Him.
I voted for Trump. I did not vote for Obama - but when he was president I respected him. I think the same should be true for Trump.
Thanks for stopping by, my dear Sandie!!! Please forgive me if I upset you. Be assured that I was trying to be as respectful as possible, which I give our Heavenly Father full credit for. Alas, it would have been far uglier if I was left to my own devices.

I am curious why I have to be someone who is not allowed to have that natural mind
and body connection that I once had when I was a dancer. I am also curious why dance
schools like The Joffrey Ballet School, The Rock School for Dance
Education, Lines Ballet School, California
Ballet School, City Ballet School of San Diego, and San Diego Academy of Ballet
is not considered an analytical approach to understand anatomy.
I don't understand why dance schools like Academy of Performing
Arts San Diego, Jimmie Defore Dance Center in Irvine, and The Edge Performing Arts Center
in Los Angeles is not considered a thoughtful way to recognize thoughts, feelings,
and behaviors. I am unsure why children's dance schools like A Touch of
Class Dance in Santee, CA is not considered a way to teach courage. I don't understand why I have to feel like
I don't understand something about intuition as someone who
had a biological mother (RIP) who was a credentialed dance teacher. Because of the imagination with dance
and homosexuality I am having a hard time being a sober man that is homeless. It is really hard to stay happy because of the imagination with manly order. I don't love females enough to love
the men they have sex with. I don't love females enough to love gay pride. Men really do make
me feel troubled because of my pink collar background. I don't know why I am not entitled to
recognize my customer service training from Macy's in Fashion Valley
and Parkway Plaza. I don't know why I feel forced to listen to music
a different way. I don't know why I feel I have to constantly cater to a man that sleeps with
females and/or phony gay pride. Dance school is a poor excuse
to understand anything thoughtful and/or sentimental.
The performing arts really is a cheap excuse to learn how to be human. Maybe I feel negative because I was never in boy scouts,
was never in the military, and/or never played sports like baseball and/or football. I don't
know why I feel I am not allowed to evolve because of the
imagination with homosexuality. I really hate when men assume that I never been fathered. Why do I feel being gay is the same as a transsexual? Why do
I have to feel like I am supposed to wear a little black dress
because of my "beta" qualities???
Thanks for stopping by, my dear Anonymous!!! I think. For your rambling comment does not much sense to me.
DeleteIt would if you could accept just who is keeping you and your kind from evolving. Is it on the outside or the inside? If it is really society, this can be overcome with time, but if it is on the inside, if you know deep down that there is something very wrong with your view of things, it can be resolved very quickly. For all you have to do is be as honest with yourself as you can be. This is, of course, a very hard thing to do, but it does not take years of struggle. Just let go of what you already know is wrong.
Be assured that I have been there. No, not about homosexuality, but my natural issues have been just as traumatic to deal with. For I had to let go of the way I had always seen things while never really questions just how wrong they were. Oh, I had several instances in the past that brought up many questions, but they were easily dismissed.
I am truly grateful to the owner of this site who has shared this enormoous piece of writiing att at this place.
