A Sunday Drive

Back during my childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and I after Sunday morning church services for a leasurely drive around where we lived. Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.

  1. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Delphy!!! I hope you are keeping all of those beautiful women around you happy. Considering what a great photographer you are, I'm sure you're not having too much trouble.

  2. Thank you for including the picture of Window Rock. We were on a Sunday drive when we stopped on the Navaho Indian Reservation for a lunch of squash soup and fried bread.

There is a school very nearby that is called School for Disposal of Hazardous Waste (or something like that). The monument to the Wind Talkers of WWII was so beautiful and stood in front of the window to the sky.

    It is a wonderful memory.

  4. Thank you for including me. My garden is the one place where I can always find happiness. I hope it gives a little to everyone else as well.

  5. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Lanne!!! A leisurely walk in a garden can be just as good as a Sunday drive any day of the week.
