ATF: Wanton Wickedness

This weekly series will include as many of my all-time favorite (ATF) tunes as I can get my grubby little hands on (so to speak).  Now, each one included in each edition will have some connection with the other—albeit only as a figment of my imagination, but they will not be numbered.  For I just cannot bring myself to rate some higher than others.  So, this will not be a countdown, but if you are enjoying them as much as I do, it won’t matter.  Besides, with no countdown, this could go on forever and ever!  Oh, and despite the fact that there is absolutely no way your musical tastes could be as exquisite as mine, I welcome any suggestions you might dare to make.  For I am, after all, quite magnanimous by nature.

Black Magic Woman
Santana
Got a black magic woman
Got a black magic woman
I got a black magic woman
Got me so blind I can't see
That she's a black magic woman
She's tryin' to make a devil out of me

Don't turn your back on me baby
Don't turn your back on me baby
Yes don't turn your back on me baby
Stop messin' 'round with your tricks
Don't turn your back on me baby
You just might pick up my magic sticks

Got your spell on me baby
Got your spell on me baby
Yes you’ve got your spell on me baby
Turnin’ my heart into stone
I need you so bad
Magic woman
I can't leave you alone

Evil Woman
Electric Light Orchestra (ELO)
You made a fool of me
But them broken dreams
Have got to end

Hey woman
You got the blues
Yes you
 Ain't got no one
Else to use
There's an
Open road
That leads nowhere
So just
Make some miles
Between here and there
There's a hole in my head
Where the rain comes in
You took my body
And played to win
Ha ha woman
It's a cryin’ shame
But you
Ain't got nobody
Else to blame

Evil woman
Evil woman
Evil woman
Evil woman

Rolled in
From another town
Hit some
Gold too hot
To settle down
But a fool and his money
Soon go
Separate ways
And you found that fool
Lyin' in a daze
Ha ha woman
What you gonna do
You destroyed all the virtues
That the Lord gave you
It's so good
That you're feelin’ pain
Yes you better get your face on board
The very next train

Evil woman
Evil woman
Evil woman
You’re an evil woman
Evil woman

Hey
Hey hey hey

Hey
Hey hey hey

Hey
Hey hey

Evil woman
Evil woman
Evil woman
You’re an evil woman
Evil woman

Evil woman
How you done me wrong
But now you're tryin' to wail
A different song
Ha ha funny
How you broke me up
You made the wine
Now you drink the cup
I came runnin'
Every time you cried
Thought I saw love
Smilin' in your eyes
Ha ha honey
Very nice to know
That you
Ain't got no place
Left to go
Oh
Oh
Oh

Evil woman
Evil woman
Evil woman
You’re an evil woman
Evil woman
Evil woman
Evil woman
You’re an evil woman
Evil woman
Such an evil woman
Evil woman
Alright

  2. Hi Jerry! I came over to visit your blog after you stopped by mine. And here I find two of my all-time favorite songs and groups to add some sparkle to my Monday morning coffee break! I appreciate how you posted the lyrics too. My faulty ears can make up the most confounding words!

  5. I saw Santana perform live in the 70s. The Rolling Stones also performed and put on a better show, but Santana's music was better.
