A Sunday Drive

Back during my childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived.  Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.  The link below the image is to the site itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

  4. Thanks for stopping by, my dear Ann!!! Alas, there are some days when it just doesn't pay to crawl out from under the bed. (LOL?)

  5. thanks so much for including my blog in this list. I don't promote it too much so I don't get many visitors. I pray though that maybe someday the right visitor will find something that speaks to them on my site. It's worth me keeping it up just for that possibility.

  9. Hello, Jerry —
Thank you for including An Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel on your Sunday Drive. I remember family drives from my childhood as well, and how much we kids enjoyed them.
I would have thanked you sooner, but I just got home from a 10-day visit with my family in British Columbia, occasioned, unfortunately, by the service for my niece's husband, who fought a brave battle with leukemia for 18 months.

  10. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Kay!!! I am so sorry for your loss. When you are ready, it may be helpful to focus on the fact that his suffering in this world is now over.

  11. Thank you so much for including me in your Sunday Drive, Jerry! I hope to get back to blogging in a big way soon!

  12. You are most welcome, and thanks for being so considerate, my dear Anne!!! I see that you live around Sikeston. My wife and I have lived in and around Springfield for the last 15 years or so, and I made several pick-ups at the Brown Shoe Factory in Sikeston while I was still trucking all over the country several years ago.
