Roy Orbison vs. Nazareth

Love Hurts
Roy Orbison
Love hurts
Love scars
Love wounds
And mars
Any heart
Not tough
Or strong
Enough
To take a lot of pain
Take a lot of pain
Love is like a cloud
Holds a lot of rain
Love hurts

Love hurts

I’m young
I know
But even so
I know a thing
Or two
I learned
From you
I really learned a lot
Really learned a lot
Love is like a stove
Burns you when it’s hot
Love hurts

Love hurts

Some fools rave of happiness
Blissfulness
Togetherness
Some fools fool themselves I guess
But they’re not fooling me
I know it isn’t true
I know it isn’t true
Love is just a lie
Made to make you blue
Love hurts

Love hurts

Love hurts

Love Hurts
Nazareth
Love hurts
Love scars
Love wounds
And marks
Any heart
Not tough
Or strong
Enough
To take a lot of pain
Take a lot of pain
Love is like a cloud
Holds a lot of rain
Love hurts
Ooh ooh
Love hurts

I’m young
I know
But even so
I know a thing
Or two
I learned
From you
I really learned a lot
Really learned a lot
Love is like a flame
It burns you when it’s hot
Love hurts
Ooh ooh
Love hurts

Some fools think
Of happiness
Blissfulness
Togetherness
Some fools fool themselves
I guess
They’re not foolin’ me
I know it isn’t true
I know it isn’t true
Love is just a lie
Made to make you blue
Love hurts
Ooh ooh
Love hurts
Ooh ooh
Love hurts

I know it isn’t true
I know it isn’t true
Love is just a lie
Made to make you blue
Love hurts
Ooh ooh
Love hurts
Ooh ooh
Love hurts
Ooh ooh

  1. No comparison!
Roy wins hands down! The boys from Dunfermline were not only giving me bad memories of hos to be badly dressed but ruined the song.

  2. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Adullamite!!! What?

  3. I beg to differ with Adullamite for I know without a question that Nazareth is the hands down winner of this song. It only took a few seconds of listening to Roy's rendition to make the decision

  4. Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Ann!!! Yeah, I am right there with you on this one. Roy did ah-ight (as the homeboys down on the corner would say), but the Nazareth version has a lot more realistic agony to it.
