Funny, I really struggled with including them because of thinking that they were too country for my general audience, but from the comments I have received so far, it would seem that I had nothing to worry about. Back when I was still married to Sam, we got to see them in concert twice, and she got a kiss from Randy Ownen, who is the lead singer, after the last one, which was held in the old Barnhill Arena on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Hmm, I wonder if that might have been when she started thinking about running me off?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16349087080262856079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6794620494458886025.post-61872644153608815112010-09-08T01:57:10.155-05:002010-09-08T01:57:10.155-05:00Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Oyvind!!! I...Thanks for stopping by again, my dear Oyvind!!! It may be different in Norway, but over here, it is really not a job for a family man. That is, unless you can land a dedicated route between home and somewhere not more than a day away. For the one thing that you can count on while being a regular over-the-road truck driver is that you will most often be where you don't want to be--especially when there is something important going on at home. Now, for a single person with no particular ties to any specific place, it can be quite a life to live, and I can see where it might be even more exciting over there if you could travel all over Europe. Of course, obtaining and presenting all of the permits would probably be a real pain.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16349087080262856079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6794620494458886025.post-52188338444323163682010-09-07T15:46:43.987-05:002010-09-07T15:46:43.987-05:00I'm in a hurry and I don't know why - make...I'm in a hurry and I don't know why - makes me remember to slow down. sandieChatty Cronehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02232040517217024681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6794620494458886025.post-30625947557493114562010-09-07T15:27:05.709-05:002010-09-07T15:27:05.709-05:00I've always like Alabama. I racked up around 3 million miles behind the wheel of an 18 wheeler before I had to quit because of my poor health. Be assured that I really miss it at times.

The Highwaymen will be featured in one of these down the road (PUN INTENDED!), and it may have been "The Highwayman" that you heard. It starts out with, "I was a highwayman, upon the coach roads I did ride, with a sword and pistol by my side." If so, it is one of my all-time favorite songs.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16349087080262856079noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6794620494458886025.post-31642529974772636102010-09-07T06:39:52.699-05:002010-09-07T06:39:52.699-05:00Roll on....makes me want to jump in an 18 wheeler ...Roll on....makes me want to jump in an 18 wheeler and hit the highway. Talking about highways, I heard a song from The Highwayman that I loved but can't remember the name of it. What a band Cash, Nelson and the other guys.Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08682357133636381359noreply@blogger.com
