TWO FOR TUESDAY

Not every song that will be featured here will be what is generally considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world. For some will be anguished cries from the pit of despair, and others will be quite obviously ferverent rants of rebellion. Nonetheless, be assured that they will all be of our Heavenly Father (in one way or another) and I hope that you have been given ears to hear the message.

Everybody’s Talkin’
Harry Nilsson
Everybody’s talkin’ at me
I don’t hear a word they’re sayin’
Only the echoes
Of my mind
People stop and starin’
I can’t see their faces
Only the shadows
Of their eyes

I’m goin’ where the sun keeps shinin’
Through the pourin’ rain
Going where the weather
Suits my clothes
Bankin’ off of the northeast winds
Sailin’ on summer breeze
And skippin’ over the ocean
Like a stone

I’m goin’ where the sun keeps shinin’
Through the pourin’ rain
Going where the weather
Suits my clothes
Bankin’ off of the northeast winds
Sailin’ on summer breeze
And skippin’ over the ocean
Like a stone

Everybody’s talkin’ at me
Can’t hear a word they’re sayin’
Only the echoes
Of my mind
I won’t let you leave
My love behind
No I won’t let you leave

I won’t let you leave
My love behind

Jump Into The Fire
Harry Nilsson
You can climb a mountain
You can swim the sea
You can jump into the fire
But you’ll never be free
You can shake me up
Or I can break you down
Whoa
Whoa
We can make each other happy
We can make each other happy
We can make each other happy
We can make each other happy

You can climb a mountain
You can swim the sea
You can jump into the fire
But you’ll never be free
You can shake me up
Or I can break you down
Whoa
Whoa
We can make each other happy
We can make each other happy
We can make each other happy
We can make each other happy

You can climb a mountain
You can swim the sea
You can jump into the fire
But you’ll never be free
No no
You can shake me up
Or I can break you down
Whoa
Whoa
Whoa
Whoa
We can make each other happy
We can make each other happy
We can make each other happy
We can make each other happy

Come Monday...THE BEST EVER!!!

“Come Monday…” is a weekly series that will involve a review of, or commentary about, websites, movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may tickle my fancy at the time. Be assured that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy Buffett song “Come Monday.” This is subject to change, however. In fact, I would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a while. For rants promote change, and change can be good—right? Therefore, since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).

Last week, I got fed-up with all of the over-hyping going on with the news coverage of the devastating tornado that tore through Joplin, MO eight days ago. So, I published a piece under the title of [The Numbing of America] on The Tribulation Times Herald-Exhorter.

Not that it needed more, but I actually forget to include the final straw for me. For it was after hearing a national correspondent report that the strongest winds ever recorded occurred during the Joplin tornado, and then he qualified his bold announcement by adding that an EF-5 is as high as the [Enhanced Fujita Scale] goes that I went on my rant. (No consideration for the fact that the Joplin tornado just made it over the 200 MPH threshold for an EF-5 when several tornados have had estimated speeds of over 300 MPH, of course.)

Alas, it has been brought to my attention that the over-hyping will get much worse before it gets any better. Therefore, I might as well join in on the fun, and I would like to present to you the best commercial to ever be broadcast.

Yes, there are several other very similar commercials out there. In fact, while doing some research, I found that the following commercial is probably a rip-off of those others, but why let facts get in the way of a good story—not to mention a great sound-bite?

A Sunday Drive

Back during my childhood, our parents would often load up my brother and me after Sunday morning church services for a leisurely drive around where we lived.  Even though we were seeing mostly familiar sights, it was still good to see them, and this is why “A Sunday Drive” sounded about right for the name of a weekly series revisiting familiar sites that are well worth seeing again and again.  The link below the image is to the site itself, and the image is linked to the post it was first included in here.

Trib Updates and SOS!

This is a weekly series that will include a brief summary of the latest articles that have been published on The Tribulation Times Herald-Exhorter. Hopefully, this will encourage you to go check out some truly outstanding articles that have been published by a number of truly outstanding authors. Moreover, I hope this will also encourage you to want to become a contributing member/author, as well. The “Hear Ye! Hear Ye!” site explanation near the top of the side-bar should answer many of your questions.

Along with the updates, there will be some commentary on some of the spam that has been sent my way, which is what the SOS! (Spam On Saturdays!) is all about. No, I do not expect to accomplish anything with the spammers. For if they understood what they are doing, surely they wouldn’t be doing it, but it will make me feel better, which is all that counts—right?

[The Last Pope?] contains a series of related videos about the coming antichrist.

[Any Thoughts?] contains just an image of Superman, with a caption that should sound very familiar to Christians.

[89 Fatalities So Far] is about the massive tornado that stuck Joplin, MO last Sunday.

[Islamic Terrorism and Pornography] is another very provocative article from Lavender Darwin.

[The Numbing of America] is a rant by me about how much over-hyping is going on in news reporting.

[Katy Perry and Sad Fathers] is from Lavender Darwin about seeing the cover of a Vanity Fair edition, and thinking about Katy Perry once being an innocent little girl.

[My Thoughts] contains the thoughts going through my head when I first saw that image of Superman, with a caption that should very familiar to Christians.

Well, I must admit that I am feeling rather stupid. For when I first received notification of this, I thought the ATM card was being issued by the federal government of the United States of America—not Nigeria! No wonder I was having so much trouble, which you can read about [here].

Now, if I can just find an ATM machine that recognizes PBC (Pidgin Binary Code), I can finally start living the life that I so richly deserve to. You wouldn’t happen to know where one is—would you?

Sites To See

The SOLE purpose of this weekly series is to call attention to sites that I think many would find most interesting—in one way or another.  Just to be clear, inclusion in this series is not necessarily meant as a recommendation, and I have included sites that are rather disturbing to me.  The link below each image is to the site itself, and each image is linked to the particular post from which it was taken when applicable.  Please, go see for yourself.

No Matter What

No matter what you are
I will always be with you
Doesn’t matter what you do girl
Ooh girl

WhiteHeart Wednesday

Link: [Inside]

MP3 Audio From: [BlogDumps Video]

It Could Have Been You
WhiteHeart
Hey

Hey

Could have been this evening light
Melancholy sky
I’ve got memories of my life
In my heart and eyes
Could have been the best
Could have been the worst of times
The meanin’ of these images
Keeps turnin’ in my mind
Random feelings or
Sacred meanings

Could have been just the hand of fate
Could have been time just didn’t wait
Thought it all was a big mistake
But now I’m seein’
Believin’
That through all of my life
It could have been You
Was it You

Were they just wasted moments
Filled with too much pain
Or the flash and the thunder of
Some cleansing rain
Hurtful strangers or
The hand of angels

Could have been just the hand of fate
Could have been time just didn’t wait
Thought it all was a big mistake
But now I’m seein’
Believin’
That through all of my life
It could have been You

Could have been

How can Your knowing eyes
See so far beyond these days
How can I ever learn to wait
For the wisdom of Your ways

But I’m seein’
Believin’
That through all of my life
Yes through all of my life
It could have been You
Lovin’ You

Could have been
You

Baby Blue
Badfinger
Guess I got what I deserved
Kept you waiting there
Too long my love
All that time without a word
Didn’t know you’d think
That I’d forget
Or I’d regret
The special love I had for you
My baby blue

All the days became so long
Did you really think
I’d do you wrong
Dixie when I let you go
Thought you’d realize
That I would know
I would show
The special long I have for you
My baby blue

What can I do
What can I say
Except I want you
By my side
How can I show you
Show me the way
Don’t you know
The times I’ve tried

Guess that’s all I have to say
Except the feeling
Just grows stronger
Every day
Just one thing before I go
Take good care
Baby
Let me know
Let it grow
The special love you have for me
My Dixie dear

Day After Day
Badfinger
I remember
Finding out about you
Every day
My mind is all around you
Looking out from my lonely room
Day after day
Bring it home
Baby
Make it soon
I give my love to you

I remember
Holding you while you sleep
Every day
I feel the tears that you weep
Looking out of my lonely gloom
Day after day
Bring it home
Baby
Make it soon
I give my love to you

Looking out of my lonely room
Day after day
Bring it home
Baby
Make it soon
I give my love to you

I remember
Finding out about you
Every day
My mind is all around you
Looking out of my lonely gloom
Day after day
Bring home
Baby
Make it soon
I give my love to you

My mother-in-law, who lives with my wife and I, is a gamer. I am not. Neither is my wife, who is her daughter.

No, she is not into [World of Warcraft] or any of the other multi-player online games, but I suppose it doesn’t matter. For I am not a gamer. Neither is my wife, who is her daughter.

None of that seemed to matter to my mother-in-law, neither. For she ordered asked me to go online and find her a new one after she had misplaced the charger/adapter to her [Nintendo DS Lite] console(?) again, and it was looking pretty serious like it was going to be nowhere to be found this time.

Thankfully, she did know where the box to the charger/adapter was. For there is no telling what I may have found without some reference to what I was supposed to be looking for.

So, with the empty box to an original Nintendo DS Lite AC Power Adapter Charger sitting just to the right of my keyboard, I started searching high and low through cyberspace, and in practically no time at all, I found [this].  Needless to say, I was quite pleased.

No, I harbor no delusions about finding it all by myself. In fact, I give all of the credit to our Heavenly Father, but if you don’t mind, I would rather my mother-in-law not realize that she doesn’t have me to thank anytime soon—okay?

Anyway, finding what she wanted at a much cheaper price than even Wal-Mart has them at was just the beginning of what has turned out to be a very delightful shopping experience with [GameBay.com]. For I received an email about every step of the shipping process, and two more asking if everything was all-right after the product arrived here in excellent condition, well within the estimated time of arrival.

No, I don’t think the people at GameBay.com got the memo that customer service is just a figure of speech anymore. For they have me convinced that they actually care about the satisfaction of their customers, which has come at a very pleasant surprise to me.

Therefore, I can highly recommend shopping with GameBay.com for all of your gaming wants and needs. Granted, they may not be perfect in every respect, considering that many of them are probably gamers themselves, but they sure act like they want to treat their customers perfectly, which is far better than the way I have been treated by far too many others.

Legal Disclaimer: The author of this review was only kidding about suggesting that gamers are generally somewhat less than perfect. Kinda.

[Brilliant!] points to origin of some common expressions.

[Spell-Check, Please?] asks about the many different spellings of Moammar Gaddhafi, Osama bin Laden, Al Qaeda and the Qu’ran exployed by various major media outlets.

I hope you are not that stupid to try treating viral infections with antibiotics? It doesn't work!

Dear fishgigger,

Even if your sex life is already rich and fulfilling... Imagine you had a little more energy... if your erections stayed harder... or you could go just a little longer...
Or maybe you worry, when you climb under the covers, that you’re starting something you can’t finish?
Well, now advancements in natural medicine are making it easier than ever to promote a strong libido, firm, natural erections and enhanced desire.

Now thanks to this exciting natural breakthrough, you could get an erection “on demand” and when you do, sustain it long enough – and keep firm enough — to fully satisfy your wife in bed. Even if you’re in your 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s or older!

As a doctor, I’ve learned something over the years that may surprise you — age has very little to do with sex. There are men out there having the best sex of their lives well into their 80th year and beyond.

And those men have three key things in common that their sex starved friends don’t:
Hard, recurring erections...
Heightened desire and stamina...
And a reproductive system that could be functioning at the top of its game...

Lucky? You bet.

But you too could give your body the nutrients it needs to support your entire sexual health.

Erectile dysfunction is what all men are afraid of to death. And they do it to good purpose!

Well, I suppose this means that I need to come up with another alias the next time I visit that chat-room. In all seriousness, though, can someone please tell me how it is possible for an email addressed to fishgigger@gmail.com can be sent to fishhawk7@gmail.com?  I sure hope the legitimate emails informing me of really winning millions of dollars are not winding-up over there!
