Exceedingly Great

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. {2 Peter 1:2-4 NIV}

I want to see you experience the exceedingly great wonder of coming to realize just how so very near our Heavenly Father has always been unto us all{1}. For nothing will be the same afterward for you{2}.

I then want to see you experience the exceedingly great joy of Him drawing you ever closer and closer unto Himself{3}; but I do not want to see you experience the exceedingly great anguish of coming to realize that the hardness of far too many hearts is indeed exceedingly great{4}, even though I know that it is necessary. For you are called to share in His sufferings{5}; and this is the cup that He still drinks from{6}.

Nonetheless: I also want to see you endure the cross that you have been given to bear{7} and experience the exceedingly great comfort of knowing that we will spend all of eternity together for myself{8}. For I cannot imagine what Heaven would be like without you{9}.
